 Principal’s Message

HHS Community,

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Hempfield Holiday Shoppe. It was wonderful to see so many community members visit HHS and interact with our students. This week will be our last full uninterrupted week of the semester. Next week we have our winter concert assembly, and then we end with a special early dismissal schedule before break on Tuesday, December 23rd. When we return from winter break, we will have our special keystone exam schedules. With limited time remaining in the semester, I strongly encourage families to check in with their students and their grades. Please help us encourage your students to utilize their class time and WIN time to meet their goals. If students aren’t earning the grades they would like to be earning, please connect with their teacher to get a better understanding of what they need to do.

Thank you and have a wonderful week!
~Dr. Brossman

Principal’s Message

HHS Community,

We hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving break. For the first time ever, we held conferences at HHS last week. Everything ran smoothly, and I hope that everyone enjoyed having an opportunity to connect with their students’ teachers.

We have a relatively quiet week as we begin December. I’d like to take a moment to invite our community to visit the Franklin Gymnasium this Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for our Holiday Shoppe. You will not find a group of students and educators who are more ALL IN than this crew. This event is for all of those who love a good craft show. The best part is that the items being sold are made and, in many cases, designed by students from our special education programs. The students will be on hand, so you will have a chance to say hello and learn more about their pieces. All proceeds go to benefit these students and their programs.

Thank you and have a wonderful week.

~Dr. Brossman

Principal’s Message

HHS Community,

Thank you to everyone who attended our HHS parents meeting. Our future HHS parents meetings will take place on February 4th and April 15th. Congratulations to all the acts for an amazing variety show. We look forward to seeing some of these acts perform for their peers on Tuesday December 23rd during the Variety Show Assembly. I’d also like to thank everyone who supported the Hempfield Foundation through the ExtraGive event. Finally, I want to share how proud I am of our students for an incredibly successful food drive supporting the Landisville Food Pantry. Their generosity makes a real difference for families in our community, and we are proud of the way they showed up to support those in need.

As we continue to try new things, we look forward to welcoming parents/guardians to HHS on Monday and Tuesday for our first-ever secondary conference days. Visitors may enter HHS through the Buchanan or Franklin offices. Our office personnel will be on hand to greet you, and our NHS and Anchor club students will be standing by to help escort you to classrooms.

I’m sure everyone is looking forward to a well-deserved break this week. I wanted to take a moment to share that I am thankful for everyone at HHS. I’d like to thank you for all that you do to help make Hempfield an amazing place. Please take some time to enjoy this Thanksgiving break and to recharge for the second half of the marking period.

Thank you and have a wonderful Thanksgiving week.
